If arrows are absolutely necessary for you, I'd go with something bigger than 60% but keep the keys as standard as possible.

Believe me, it is difficult enough to get good ISO caps but if you squeeze some arrows inside, say goodbye to proper caps! The other thing with 60% cherry boards is this: You will either have to say good bye to dedicated arrow keys or have massive trouble finding keycaps for your custom layout. Does someone has another idea ?Įdit: Okay after reading the post I'd say that I'd recommend a custom project for your needs, there are some decent pbc's out there wich are not that pricey and programmable! Other favorites would be the Smart68 or the 22mini which I can't afford or the Neutrino, which doesn't seem to be available at the moment.

I heard the WhiteFox will maybe be available again at the end of the year, but it doesn't sound like it will be for sure. Sorry for the long list of dos and don'ts.

I'm searching for some 60% keyboard with arrow keys or a compact 75% and would like to pay something under 200 €, since I'm also have to pay the shipping and customs in Germany. Hopefully, that will get you started.I'm really sorry that my first post here is something as stupid as to ask which keyboard I could buy, but I'm running out of ideas. It is intended to replicate the controls of a physical MIDI device (keyboard, etc.) in Cubase but, of course, it can also be used for VST instruments. Go to the Help menu in Cubase and under Documentation, there is a.

Right click in the inspector area of a VST Instrument channel or MIDI track and check “Device Panels”. First, in the inspector tab, you need to turn on device panels. iC Pro uses a “bridge” by Steinberg and Apple Bonjour so it feels a little safer. I have tried TouchDAW and TouchOSC (which has a MIDI mode) and they work but the latency seems a little high and I don’t like having these 3rd party “bridges”.

It would be really nice if they incorporated some MIDI control into iC Pro. I REALLY wish, Steinberg would release an App for tablets, like iC Pro that allows MIDI control, especially VST Quick and Track Quick controls. I have thought the m-Audio Code, and Korg Tactile looked promising also but never splurged because the Axiom Pro is still getting the job done. I also have a new Korg nanoKey Studio which I haven’t used much yet (I bought it for use while traveling) but it seems promising, the editing of the device is all done on the computer in an editor application and it has an XY pad. I think it works well as far as the sliders and knobs, etc., but it is cumbersome to get it set up for true MIDI control (as opposed to HyperControl). I have an Axiom Pro, which I would say you have it right about it being somewhat difficult to set up. I don’t have much advice on other controllers.
